Partners Against Crime – The Metro K9 Unit
The K9 unit for the City of Las Vegas was started in 1959 by Sergeant Harold Miller. The unit is comprised of twenty one officers and their K9 partners. Each officer has two dogs; one is a patrol dog and the other is a detection dog. These dogs are highly trained, highly intelligent partners, and they are respected for what they can add to the protection of society. Watching a K9 and his Partner at work is a living symbol of team work and dedication at its finest.
